Laboratory Technician Development Program

CEI supports aspiring bioscientists through hands-on lab training, BACE exam readiness, and industry internships.

Fostering Bioscience’s Future: Lab Training, Exam Prep, Internships at CEI.

The Laboratory Technician Development Program has been meticulously crafted to give students, specifically from Bioscience High School, a Phoenix Union High School and proud partner of CEI, an immersive, practical understanding of laboratory procedures, equipping them with the skills needed in laboratory settings. This program offers students a rigorous training curriculum and the chance to take the nationally recognized BACE exam (Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam).

A key highlight of this partnership is that, after learning lab skills and passing the BACE exam, students will intern with CEI LabForce partners in the community. This practical experience helps them become job-ready, explore diverse industry opportunities, and apply their lab expertise.

Program Highlights

  • Hands-on laboratory training
  • Classroom discussion on biotechnology, history, and applications
  • Opportunity to sit for the BACE exam
  • Career development & exploration
  • Opportunities for internships with industry partners
  • Office hours with experts and mentors
